About LipsumTexts.com

Lorem Ipsum text is simply placeholder, or 'dummy' text, used by website developers to provide a visual reference when setting up new website, in order to see how text-based content will look, as they change the styles and refine the general look and feel of the website during construction.

The following paragraph of text has been used in the printing industry, with origins believed to date back to the 1500s:

I created LipsumTexts.com because I've recently been spending time showing others how I go about creating websites and setting up the web templates, which incorporates the use of the Lorem Ipsum dummy text.

Rather than having to re-explain the same stuff again and again, I can now point people to this website and let them come back, so they can make use of the content, in their own time, for their own web projects.

But, instead of just stopping at providing the Lorem Ipsum text only, each setup test page, in LipsumTexts.com, is a self-contained page of examples and ideas ... not just for styling the 'Look & Feel' of your potential web template, but I've also included my partial brain-dump, showing how I think through and research niches, how I think over possibilities for monetizing the website and creating quality, unique content to keep visitors coming back for more.

Each Setup Test page on LipsumTexts.com ...

  • Previews a paragraph of Lipsum text and a selection of alpha-, numerical- and special- characters, which you're most likely to use in your website setup.

  • Previews different styles of the main text-based elements: Headings (<h1>, <h2>, <h3>), Paragraphs (<p>), Lists (<ul>, <ol>), and Text Link / Anchor tags (<a>) ...

    • All fonts used are considered "web-friently" fonts, as the characters are all clear to distinguish.

    • The colour-schemes chosen have been tailored to the niche, or theme they're trying to represent (e.g. a conservative colour-scheme for niches such as Insurance; more liberal colour-scheme for 'creative' niches, such as Photography).

It's interesting to see the variety of styles that can be applied, with CSS, to the same HTML tags.

  • Shows how a full page article would look, with certain CSS styling applied.

  • Gives a few ideas for creating content for your website, targeting a selection of popular niches, as well as giving suggestions for generating income from website(s).

  • Provides copy & paste HTML & CSS codes for quickly adding the styles to your developing website(s).

How to Use LipsumTexts with Your Website

The first thing to do is to copy & paste the HTML, in the box below, to your own html web template.

Then, look over the following setup pages in LipsumTexts.com, for examples and ideas on styling your website's text-based content.

By all means, mix and match styles from the various article setup examples. But, be careful when adjusting the text sizes, as their output size seems to vary between the three main web browsers (Chrome; Firefox; and Internet Explorer).
